Flying 51 tons of meat seasoning from Mexico to Nicaragua
A supplier in Mexico urgently needed our help transporting a large shipment of powdered seasoning to a meat product manufacturer in Nicaragua. With the production line at risk of grinding to a halt, leaving supermarkets out of stock and costing our client valuable revenue, we got to work on a solution for the time-critical request.
Our Solution
Route: Mexico City > Managua
Aircraft: Airbus A330
Our experts suggested several options for the 14-ton consignment within two hours, from securing space on the next scheduled service to chartering a dedicated freighter.
Realising the client was planning to deliver a total of 50 tons of ingredients to Nicaragua in the coming weeks, we sourced an Airbus A330 that could move the entire payload in one go.
The cargo was packed onto 39 pallets and transferred onto the aircraft using a main deck loader. The flight went off without a hitch, touching down in good time to ensure the client’s operation stayed on track.
The Finer Details
Hands-On Approach: We worked through the night to secure last-minute flight permits and assist the client with customs clearance.
Flight Representation: One of our team was at the airport to ensure the charter departed smoothly, giving the client peace of mind that everything was in hand.
