Travelling to Glastonbury by helicopter charter

Glastonbury Festival is renowned for its long queues and hectic tent setups. While driving there by car can take hours even if you live nearby, a London-to-Glastonbury helicopter charter can get you there in just 45 minutes. Wherever you’re based, we can arrange a helicopter to pick you up from an airfield, heliport or accessible field near you.

There are two heliports at Glastonbury Festival; one dedicated to attendees staying at Camp Kerala and the other for performing artists. Then it’s just a quick road transfer from whichever one you land at to your accommodation or the artists’ enclosure.

After the event draws to a close, road traffic leaving Glastonbury is notoriously heavy. You can avoid the crowds with a helicopter charter, being driven back to the heliport where your aircraft is waiting to fly you to your desired location.

About Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury Festival launched in 1970 at Michael Eavis’ dairy farm in Pilton, Somerset. Just 1,500 tickets were sold for the inaugural event, priced at £1 each including free milk from the farm. Today, it’s one of the world’s most famous festivals, headlined by iconic pop and rock artists and attended by a host of celebrities. In addition to music, the five-day extravaganza features dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret and other arts.

Most attendees camp in the fields, which is included in the ticket price – but if you’ve seen media photos of flooded tents, you’ll have an idea of how that can go. Tipis are a slightly more luxurious option that come with a waterproof groundsheet, inner lining and rain catcher, but guests still need to bring their own bedding and mats.

If sleeping on canvas isn’t for you, Camp Kerala and The Pop-Up Hotel offer the festival’s most luxurious accommodation. Options include en-suite glamping tents and Airstream trailers, while there’s also a pool, restaurant and spa.
